# Marriage Counseling in Kendall

The office is here. No crossing the county, no mystery address, and no need to turn a difficult conversation into an evening of driving.

I work with couples in Kendall from my office at 12755 SW 116th Terrace in Kendall and by video. The choice is practical. Pick the format the 2 of you can actually show up for with your attention intact.

I am Matthew W. Hoelscher, an ICF Professional Certified Coach. I am a coach, not a licensed therapist, and I do not diagnose or treat mental illness.

## Coaching for couples in Kendall

Kendall is home base for this practice. I work with parents who can manage school schedules, work, grandparents, groceries, and every other moving part, but cannot get through one conversation about the marriage without somebody shutting down or building a case.

The work is direct. We identify the pattern, interrupt it in the room, and decide what replaces it at home. I use the 8 Stages and EC3: Connect, Correct, Create.

## Getting to the Kendall office

The address is in the 33186 area of Kendall. Kendall Drive, SW 117th Avenue, SW 137th Avenue, and Florida's Turnpike are the main corridors people use through this part of Miami. Traffic changes quickly, so check your route before you leave rather than trusting the drive you remember from Sunday morning.

## When video is the better choice

Miami traffic can turn a useful appointment into the hardest part of the evening. Video removes the drive, the parking, and the handoff with a sitter. I work by video across Florida and in all 50 states and DC. It is the same direct coaching, not a smaller version of it.

If both of you can close a door, put the phones away, and stay in the conversation, video works. If home is where every interruption lives, come to the office. Choose based on attention, not on which format sounds more serious.

## Who I work with

I see couples who are still functioning well on paper and privately wondering when they became coworkers. Repeated arguments, distance, resentment, betrayal, and decisions about whether to stay are all work I handle.

My core work is with parents 7 to 10 years into a marriage, often with kids under 5, who run the house well and barely feel like a couple. I also work with couples at every stage, including dating, engaged, married, major transitions, empty nest, and retirement.
